LIVE INTERVIEW HELP · PRODUCT COMPARISON

InterviewRep vs Interviews Chat.
Find your live interview workflow.

Compare the way you get help, the audio you can capture and the credits you actually use.

We make InterviewRep. This is a publisher comparison, not an independent review. We checked our own release evidence and Interviews Chat’s public documentation; we did not run its paid product or a head-to-head performance test.

The direct answer

Consider InterviewRep if you want browser-based live transcription with answer suggestions you request when needed. Consider Interviews Chat if its advertised combination of live assistance, multiple AI models and interview preparation matches your needs. Test your exact audio setup and compare billing units before choosing. Neither product makes an AI-generated answer automatically accurate.

QuestionInterviewRepInterviews Chat
Live workflowOur release checks covered microphone transcription, requested answer suggestions and a saved conversation archive. This is live interview help. Its website advertises live transcripts, suggestions and multiple response formats. These are vendor descriptions, not our test results. [1]
Audio setupMicrophone capture was checked. Remote interviewer audio needs a supported capture path; our checks did not certify every browser, operating system or meeting platform. The vendor advertises web, extension and desktop options. Confirm the exact supported setup with the vendor. [1]
Credit unitsEach started minute of a live transcription connection consumes a credit; resuming starts a new charged minute. Check the current plan before starting. The published Starter plan lists credit use for both Copilot minutes and suggestions. Do not treat its credit count as equivalent to InterviewRep minutes. [1]
Preparation featuresThis comparison evaluates the live help workflow. The vendor also advertises mock interviews and resume-based preparation. That broader bundle may matter if you want preparation alongside live help. [1]

How to compare the actual cost

Write down the expected conversation length, how often you will reconnect and how many suggestions you expect to request. Then check each product’s current pricing and renewal terms. A large credit allowance does not mean better value if different actions consume those credits.

Use InterviewRep’s live pricing and Interviews Chat’s published plans. We have not reproduced prices here because a stale number or an unverified currency can mislead. Check currency, tax, billing cadence, allowances, renewal and cancellation at checkout. We did not buy either product for this comparison.

A short test before relying on either tool

  1. Check that interview assistance and transcription are permitted.
  2. With a consenting person, speak one sentence yourself and have the remote person say a different sentence. Confirm whose speech actually appears.
  3. Request a suggestion for a question with an answer you know. Check whether it reflects your real experience and handles a follow-up.
  4. Stop promptly and inspect usage. A transcript alone does not prove an accurate or useful answer.

For capture limitations and an expanded checklist, read our live interview assistance guide. We have no comparative latency, accuracy or interview-outcome benchmark, so we do not declare a performance winner.

What to ask about privacy

Ask both vendors what happens to audio, transcripts, resumes and generated answers; which providers process them; and how deletion works. Audio retention and transcript retention are different questions.

Interviews Chat’s policy describes temporary audio/video processing, resume deletion controls and general retention terms. That is a policy statement, not an independent security audit. [2] Our InterviewRep release tests confirmed a saved archive, not a complete retention or deletion audit. Do not infer zero retention for either product.

When should you choose each?

Choose a workflow to test, rather than a promised outcome. InterviewRep is a candidate when you want to follow a live transcript and deliberately request help. Interviews Chat is a candidate when you also want the preparation and model-selection features its documentation describes. If you cannot capture the interviewer’s audio in your permitted setup, resolve that before relying on either service.
